Will AI take jobs in Alaska?

How much of Alaska's work is AI touching? In Alaska, AI and robots touch about 1h 57m of the average worker's 8-hour shift, across the 467 jobs we can match to state data (293K workers). That's 11% less than the U.S. average of 2h 12m, and the lowest of 50 states, DC and Puerto Rico. Most of the workday, about 6h 3m, still goes to tasks with no documented AI or robot use.

Each job has the same time card in every state, so differences between states come only from the mix of jobs people do there. Pay and job counts are BLS May 2025 state figures; shift hours come from each job's time card.
